About

Our aim is to provide you with an extensive range of quality services to see your complete project through from concept to completion. Catering for the smallest jobs such as shelving or changing doors, right through to full fitouts.

Ballyness is a family business operated by Michael Canning and Joanne Hickey. Michael and Joanne started Ballyness in 2004 to provide an array of services to the local community. Expanding through the years Ballyness now provides a full range of services, from small maintenance jobs, to excavation and modification, to full designer fitouts.

Take the worry out of organising different tradespeople for different aspects of work. Ballyness employs and organises all trades – we get the quotes – we get the quality local trades people – we organise the timeframe and lock all the trades in – you get the finished project. We have electricians, painters, concretors, plumbers, interior designers, tilers, air conditioning specialists, security specialists, glazers, carpenters and joiners, cabinet makers – all licensed tradespeople. Let us control on-site supervision. We have a consistent working relationship with all contractors, ensure your project is completed on time and to the best standards possible.

Qualifications

Tele handling refers to the use of telehandlers, versatile machines designed to lift and move materials on construction sites. Our licensed operators are trained to efficiently use this equipment for tasks such as moving heavy loads, reaching heights, and navigating tight spaces, enhancing productivity and safety on every project.

A Class 2 Building License is a regulatory credential that allows our company to undertake construction projects classified as multi-residential buildings or commercial facilities with specific height and complexity. This license ensures compliance with established building codes and safety standards, reflecting our commitment to quality and professionalism in every project we deliver.

For certain high-risk tasks, such as operating elevated work platforms (EWPs), scaffolding, or other specialized equipment, a high-risk work license is required. These licenses are specific to the type of equipment or task.

A building license is a legal requirement that authorises our company to undertake construction activities in compliance with local regulations and building codes. Holding a valid building license demonstrates our commitment to quality workmanship and safety, ensuring all projects meet the necessary standards for structure and design.

Our licensed machine operators are essential to our operations, expertly handling various heavy equipment and machinery on-site. With comprehensive training and certifications, they ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment like forklifts, excavators, EWPs and telehandlers. Their expertise enhances productivity while maintaining high safety standards throughout every project.
